Freon Evaporator Unit Placement

  1. The air pattern must cover the entire room.
  2. Never locate evaporators over doors.
  3. Location of aisles, racks etc. must be pre-defined.
  4. Piping distance between condensing unit and evaporator has to be minimum.
  5. Leave space equal to unit height between bottom of unit and product. Do not stack product in front of fans.
  6. Always place the unit in upside direction, and use clamps only for hanging the evaporator on ceiling. If unit’s need to be placed on floor, use lags to give support.
  7. Most evaporators can be mounted with rod hangers or bolts. Use 8 mm bolt and washer or rod for up to 100 Kg, 10 mm for up to 250 Kg & 16 mm for over 250 Kg.
  8. It is advised to leave space of at least or more than 1.5 times to fan diameter size between evaporator and left, right as well as back side of the cold room wall.
  9. Minimum unit clearance:
For smaller size cold room -
For medium size cold room -
For bigger size cold room -
